I chose the mosaic-inspired option for my unit 5 project. If I'm being honest, none of the options really inspired me this time around, and I had to force myself to start it. I don't really like the finished product too much, but that's because you get out what you put in. This project is a mosaic-style combination of album covers from one of my favorite bands, Lovejoy.
These are two of my progress pictures. I painted each album cover digitally on my phone using a stylus, so this is what they looked like in the in-between stages. As for my reference photos, it was just the album covers themselves ("Are You Alright?", "Pebblebrain," and "Knee Deep at ATP"
These are my thumbnail sketches. As you can see, I went for a few different styles before settling on the final one. I knew going in that I wanted to practice perspective, though.
