"How do humans respond emotionally to their relationships, and how do said relationships shape us as people?"       

         For the AP Studio Art: Drawing (2022-2023), I wanted to make the audience of my art think, as well as myself while creating. My inquiry question this year focuses on relationship dynamics. I want to make people think on different types of relationships; for example, my first piece in the collection, Translucence, focuses on wholesome and reciprocated love with outside factors beyond control. The two featured characters are clearly in love, but are separated by water, representing an uncontrollable aspect. I want to explore relationship dynamics that are typically brushed over in modern media and delve into what they mean and how they impact those involved.
      I want to delve into emotional response to said relationships as well. How do our connections to one another trigger an emotional response? How does this shape us as people?
